During a visit of 1h20, you will cross a mountain that has been dug by water over the centuries. We offer you an underground world, a real fairy tale of limestone concretions with amazing shapes, sublimated by the particularly neat lighting. The richness of the forms stimulates the imagination throughout the visit. After the visit of the first floor of the Caves, you descend the 250 steps of the Gouffre that lead to the underground river. With 800 metres of rock above you, you take a pleasant boat ride. The journey continues with the small train that takes you back to the exit.

BETHARRAM CAVES (GROTTES DE BÉTHARRAM)
Open to the public since 1903, the Bétharram Caves offer you an extraordinary journey in the heart of the Earth.
Located between Pau and Lourdes, they mark the border between Béarn and Bigorre. Indeed, the access of the caves is done by the Pyrénées-Atlantiques and the exit by the Hautes-Pyrénées!
